Halloween Party

For the kids, the 3rd Annual Pepsi Treat Trail will be held on Monday, October 31st, Halloween evening, at Old Town between the hours of 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm. The annual event is co-sponsored by the McMurry Foundation and Clear Channel Radio. The 2005 Treat Trail is featuring 18 booths laden with candy and treats of all sorts, as well as Pepsi products, and makes "Trick or Treating" a pleasure for kids of all ages. Parents can be sure that all of the treats the kids receive are "safe treats", too.

For the adults - everyone knows that Halloween is October 31st....the same night that the Baltimore Ravens play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football on the big screen in "All That Jazz". Will the Ravens quoth "Nevermore" on Halloween Night or will Pittsburgh drop the "Steel Curtain" on the Black Birds? Come on down and find out!

Old Town invites parents and kids to a wonderful and exciting evening of treats and spooks this Halloween. For further information, please call Casey Bush at Old Town at 266-GOLF (4653) or Erin Gamroth at Clear Channel Radio at 266-5252.

Don`t miss your last chance to golf this season at Wyoming`s premier new golf course, Three Crowns Golf Club. When you step on the first tee, you`ll be amazed at course designer Robert Trent Jones Jr.`s accomplishment that includes generous fairways, brilliant water features on 14 holes, and eighty-six pure white silica sand bunkers. Jones said that he wanted to create "gentle contours...creating a rolling topography that echoes the surrounding plains". We think you`ll agree that he more than succeeded.

The Parkway Golf Package is available until the end of October. Book your room now!

Holiday Season

The countdown to Christmas is on for party planners eager to score a holiday hit and avoid the bah-humbug reviews. Kathy Lott, Director of Catering at the Parkway Plaza, has some simple pointers to guide people through the process:
  • Book early "The longer you wait, the more difficult it becomes to get the date and room you want. At the Parkway, many companies re-book Christmas parties immediately afterward for the following year. We all know how hectic things can get around the holidays so planning ahead gives you plenty of time to prepare."
  • Be Creative "Use your creative flair to make your party a memorable one or ask a member of our Sales Department for suggestions. We`ll help keep you organized too."
  • Offer an Accommodation Option "Make the elevator your ride home. This is a great way to alleviate the worries about transportation. The Parkway offers special room rates for Christmas Party sleepovers so everyone can relax and enjoy the party."
  • Ask Around to Find the Right Venue "Word of mouth is still the best advertising out there. Check with your host to see what other groups have booked parties at their facility."
Check back next month for more of Kathy Lott`s holiday party planning tips.
